Taj Mahal Atlanta Concert reviews
Don't miss Taj Mahal
taj mahal at the Wilbur theater in Boston was a special experience. The Wilbur theater was a great venue. I sat comfortably in the mezzanine section with a great "close" feeling view and experienced terrific, loud, crisp sound. The floor seating looked cramped and you had to turn your chair and contort body to face the stage. Would definitely recommend the mezz seating for music or comedy at this venue. The drunk hippie couple near me even found room to "dance" as there was space in the aisle to the left.
There was an opening act in progress as we walked in. They were a local band that sounded good, but overall not my cup of tea. The singer, great voice, turned out to be taj's daughter. They sang together for an encore. Taj was unbelievable! Amazing to see such a master of blues guitar live. Not many people can generate the sound he can from his incredible instruments. Do not pass this up. He is a living legend and he still puts on a great, high energy show. Some people complain about his short set, but I thought it was right on. In Boston he played straight blues, with a sprinkle of world influences. The straight blues was crackling with energy. His guitar work was something to behold. The drummer and bass player also were tight. If your debating going to see taj, hopefully this review will help Influence your undecided ass to just do it. Go!
